Hi there call me Passion868. I'm a local Trini girl that's sooo enthusiastic in showing you what Trinidad has to offer that I created this blog. I'm giving you an insider's view on the great places to visit whilst on this Tropical Paradise. This of course is a mere Taste of what Trinidad has to offer. C'mon folks there's a lot to be seen and so much to have on this sweet sweet island, my home ….Trinidad!!!
Shark River (North Eastern Coast)
This river is situated between Matelot and Grande Riviere. It is indeed a beautiful, breath taking sight to behold. Many Trinidadian's visit Shark River to camp outdoors whilst others visit for one day of splendour and fun. Its a great place to bring the family, relax and enjoy the scenery. Added to this, were you aware that Shark River is a part of the Matura National Park? Leave me a comment below.
El Tucuche (North Trinidad)
Today we'll visit El Tucuche. This is an adventurous hike up a mountain that isn't for the weak at heart. You must be fit and unafraid of heights. El Tucuche is 3072 feet high and over looks the Las Cuevas Bay. It's a beautiful sight to behold, not only do you feel energized after triumphantly overcoming the hike but when you stop and take in the scenery that in itself leaves you speechless and breathless. I must say its beautiful. You should go visit. Have you been here before, are you willing to give it a try? Leave me a comment below.
Charlie's Black Pudding (San Fernando and Woodbrook Trinidad)
Anywhere there is good food then there is a good lime 'chill' in Trinidad. Well let me rephrase that and talk the truth, anywhere there is sweet women there is a good 'lime' in Trinidad. I'm not sure if we like our belly more or like to engage in the beauty of a Trinidadian man or woman more. Do you know? Leave me a comment below. Go figure!
Anyways, back to the matter at hand. Oh yes ... Charlie's Black Pudding. Now as a child I ate this dish and I remembered it to be tasty, however, as I grew older I noticed my mother never partake whenever my father bought it for us. One day I asked her why and lets just say after she said these two words .... pig blood.... I myself stopped. But do not be fooled it is indeed tasty. My father carried us to this place when my siblings and I were younger ... and guess what ... they're still living up to this day. Enjoy it with a hops bread or two. Charlie's Black Pudding can be found in Woodbrook and San Fernando. I hope you're eager to try. Whats your experience with black pudding? Do you like it?

Sauce Doubles (Curepe Trinidad)
Yes Oh Yes the national street food of Trinidad is a local delicacy known as doubles. This dish is a soft curry flour bread that has been lightly fried and served as sandwich with curried chick peas (channa) and condiments of Coconut Chutney, Culantro Pesto (shaddow beni sauce), Tamarind Sauce and Home-made pepper sauce. Whats additionally enticing is the speed in which the doubles is prepared and wrapped, a skill not many can attest to. Usually Trinidadians will line the double's vendor, standing to the side and then eat the dish by hand, bara after bara after bara. Its a great liming spot to enjoy a quick meal with friends, smile, giggle and slurp on ah doubles :) . Trinidadians love the dish because its economical and very filling. It costs only $4 TT for one of the sandwiches ..... some may say a steal of a deal whilst others will cry robbery. Whats your opinion? Please share in the comments below.
Zen Night Club (Port of Spain Trinidad)
Lets just say Zen was the very first well known established night club in Trinidad that set the trend for many of today's night clubs offering sophisticated fun. Originally there wasn't a dress code when entering clubs in Trinidad, however, Zen changed that. Men and women had to dress with a particular flare to gain entry, premium drinks were served in glasses, ID cards had to be presented at the door and checked by security, the decor was modern inclusive of fog lights, techno music and two floors of partying. Ten years ago this was very new to Trinidad and the people loved it. Local as well as international celebrities graced their floors. Patrons will line the streets and stand in the cold of night for hours upon hours, then frown upon the security when they didn't make it at the door before 11:00 pm. No free entry :( (good times lol). Pay up!! With so many clubs popping up every second in Trinidad many have strayed from the Zen doors but to you my beloved .... I pay homage. We may have had our misunderstandings in the past but I salute you. Thank you for the experience.Thank you for setting the bar and showing how its done. To be continued ......
So guys have you ever visited Club Zen? Share with me your experience in the comments below I will love to hear. Lets reminisce together.
